University Of Texas Baseball
do you think i could get into university of texas?

i have a 3.7 gpa with a 30 act and i went to a school with about 5,000 kids so its kind of hard to get noticed i played baseball all 4 years starting catcher i wrote in the school newspaper for 2 years was on student council for 4 years and had a lot of community service hours

Well sounds to me like you should have no problem getting into the school itself. As it has already been said, if you live in Texas, and are in the top 10%, then you are automatically accepted. One thing worth mentioning though is that this process only admits you to the university. You are not guaranteed acceptance to any specific college i.e. business, engineering, architecture, etc (those are the 3 hardest to get into in my opinion.) With your gpa, I can pretty much guarantee you will be accepted to the University, but with your gpa, it sounds like you would be on the cusp for engineering and business. It also depends on class rank, because at the undergraduate level, they don't look at applicants that specifically except for people that were not automatically accepted by their class rank. This accounts for 25% of the incoming studeny body. So basically what I'm trying to say is your class rank is the most important item because that is the fisrt thing they look at unless you apply to engineering where you also have to have a math readiness requirement (one of the 3: 600+ on sat math, AP calc test with 3 or better score, or registered in calculus right now)

Hope this helps and Good Luck getting into the COLLEGE of your choice becuase I am sure you will get into the university where you can internally transfer if you don't get into the college of choice the first ttime around. Hook 'em!
