Searching For Info About New Zealand Baseball ?
We're moving from New Zealand to Salt Lake City. What are the most popular sports/ teams there?
I'm referring for both youngsters and pros. My wife and I are both Americans, from the east coast and midwest. Just curious of who I'd be watching football and baseball-wise.
By this I mean, what NFL team or MLB teams are popular? I know the Jazz are the only pro-team, and I've been really impressed with U of U's football. My question was really for what's on TV.
I would say that the most popular sport team is the Utah Jazz. but they don't do well in the playoffs. Baseball is just minor leagues and not that good ... in my opinion, but tickets are reasonably priced. The rivalry between the Utes and the Cougars (BYU) really gets the natives going! As far as what's on TV... that depends on what programs you subscribe to. Local/free TV ... you won't see too much, but a few of the news stations offer a live feed.
